Road Access and Parking

A number of roads are closed for this community event. We encourage you to cycle, walk or take public transport to get to the event as there is limited access and parking.

Public transport options

King George Park is located a short walk from bus stops on Victoria Road and about 1km walk from bus stops on Balmain Road, Lilyfield.

Parking options

Although we encourage catching public transport, there is limited parking at King George Oval and the Council carparks surrounding Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre. Other parking options include parking in nearby residential streets, however please be respectful of our neighbours and traffic regulations.

Q: How do I register?

Unfortunately on-line registrations have now closed.

Don't fear, on the day registrations are open from 7am at King George Oval, Sunday 10th November.

Q: Where do I pick up my race bib?

If you enter prior to 5pm Wednesday 6 November can collect race bibs from Running Science ( 186 Victoria Road, Rozelle) on:

  • Thursday 7 November - 4pm until 8pm
  • Friday 8 November - anytime during opening hours 9am until 5pm
  • Saturday 9 November - 9am until 2pm

All entries after 5pm Wednesday 6 November will be on the day.

Please note due to Ausconnex roadworks parking and traffic around the store is challenging, please allow time for this.

Merchandise purchased online will be available at bib pickup.

Q: What are the race categories?

Below is a table of race categories. Please note outright placegetters in the 2km, 5km and 10km events are also eligible for their age category placings.


Q: When does early-bird pricing finish?

Early bird pricing finishes on 11.59pm on Friday 11th October, 2019

Q: Can I register on the day of the event?

Yes, from 7am until race start

Q: Can I change my event once I have registered?

Yes you can by emailing kylie@mildrenevents.com.au.

Changes after Friday 8th November must be done on the day.

Q: Where is the start and finish lines?

The race start and finish (and halfway point for the 10km race) is at King George Park, Rozelle after covering a scenic course through beautiful Callan Park.

Q: Are there drink stations along the course?

There are two drink stations along the course

Q: Can I run with my with my dog?

Unfortunately we are unable to let dogs participate in the event for safety reasons

Q: Can I run with a pram?

Yes, we recommend that you start towards the back of the pack

Q: How can I get to the event?

We encourage you to walk, cycle or catch public transport as there will be road closures and limited parking nearby. Bus routes have stops on nearby Victoria Road, Roselle and Balmain Road, Rozelle. Should you wish to drive, there is some limited parking available near King George Park, in the nearby residential streets and near Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre. Please be respectful of our neighbours and traffic regulations.

Q: How do I get my race time?

Results will be available on our website in the afternoon of the event. Every mobile number provided in the online entry system will receive a text message as a soon as the event finishes with a link to the results as well

Q: What do the proceed's of the event go to?

The Belle Property Balmain Fun Run is the primary fundraising event for the Balmain Public School.

In addition we proudly partner with a charity, this year's partner is The Run Beyond Project. Founded in 2015 by teacher and marathon enthusiast David Criniti, uses the medium of running to teach and empower high-school students in need. The Run Beyond Project trains its students to take part in a running event, such as our fun run, arming them with the life-skills of commitment, goal-setting and resilience.
